MaryGrace Waggoner

Cellist MaryGrace Waggoner is a performer, teacher, and arts leader who believes in music's power to build community and enrich lives. She is a cellist in the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra, maintains an active Suzuki cello studio, and is the co-founder of the Huntsville Suzuki Academy. As founder of the Nashville Chamber Music Society and Huntsville Music Collective, a 501(c)(3) organization, she is committed to creating meaningful chamber music experiences for audiences of all backgrounds.

MaryGrace regularly records for projects with companies including Sony, Hulu, Netflix, and Bungie. She also performs and records with artists including Ben Shive, Jess Ray, Sandra McCracken, and Mandi Mapes. Performance highlights include appearances at Carnegie Hall with the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings, the Rome Chamber Music Festival in Italy, and orchestral recordings for Philip Glass's Orange Mountain Music label, praised by The Wall Street Journal as "impeccably polished."

MaryGrace holds a master's degree in Cello Performance and Suzuki Pedagogy from the Cleveland Institute of Music and a bachelor's degree from the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University. She enjoys coaching chamber ensembles through the Nashville Chamber Music Society and lives in Huntsville, Alabama, with her husband Blake, their children Charles and Josie, their dog Cooper, and three chickens.
